ArchivesOne of the cast members of the first broadcast TV reality series, Making the Band, says he’s finished with reality television. Ashley Parker Angel, who was most recently seen spawning a kid named Lyric on his MTV series There and Back, told OK! Magazine, “I am a fan of reality television and I support it, but between the two shows, I’ve done around 70 episodes of reality TV. I think I’m done.”
He’s starring in Hairspray on Broadway until Dec. 15, and says that’s leading him to scripted projects. “This opportunity has really made me feel like I want to pursue acting as well. I’ve never done it before and I’m having a lot of fun.”
Having once toured with Britney Spears, he comments on her recent trials and tribulations, and says, “I honestly feel really bad for her situation. I like her and I think she has a really good heart, but I think she just got confused. I hope she gets help.”
