The extreme makeover show The Swan concludes tonight with a two-hour pageant. Nine of the 16 women who were reconstructed USA TODAY looks at reaction to the show, which has been mostly negative with everyone except the 9.2 million people who watch every week. Merline Norman, who’s competing tonight, tells The Press-Enterprise says the show and transformation “has given me a new perspective on life. It has brought me closer to my loved ones and more importantly to myself.”
+ also: show therapist Lynn Ianni’s Ph.D. is from an unaccredited diploma mill.
