Tammy Faye Messner’s appearance on The Surreal Life 2 is working to convert people who are now able to see through her foundation. Since the show started airing, she says, “I am getting thousands of e-mails from people who say they didn’t like me, but now they do.” Why the change of heart? Was it the massage she got from Ron Jeremy? Her tendency to cover her ears when Vanilla Ice spews expletives? Tammy Fay tells the Knoxville News-Sentinel that viewers “didn’t know me as a person before. They just knew me as a cartoon character that the news media has made up. It’s been overwhelming.”
