Both of The WB’s new reality TV shows—The Surreal Life and High School Reunion—debuted with impressive ratings for the network. Thursday’s first episode of The Surreal Life had 5.2 million viewers and “the network’s new all-time record ratings for a debut of a Thursday series” in a number of demographics and in overall viewers. High School Reunion’s first episode last Sunday had the same number of viewers and also “set time period records for a premiere in total viewers” and various demographics.
