ArchivesProduction on The Simple Life 5 was delayed last fall after Nicole Richie checked herself into a treatment center because of her weight. In November, she said she was “ready to work”, but on Saturday, she was taken to the hospital from the set of the show, which has apparently finally started production.
Nicole “was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after she started to feel faint and dizzy following 20 hours of filming,” Us Weekly reports.
She “was on call until 2 a.m. Saturday morning, and was required back on the set a few hours later. After a brief cat nap, Richie was hurried through hair and make-up and was unable to eat due to a tight shooting schedule. Simple Life producers later rushed Richie to the hospital after she began to complain that she felt dizzy.”
The magazine says “Richie was given fluids and food and was promptly released,” and a “source” claims that “producers overreacted—she didn’t need to go to the hospital.” But Nicole’s representative said, “Nicole is home resting and will return to work this evening. We are proud of the weight that Nicole is gaining and her focus on her health.”
