ArchivesFOX dumped The Simple Life 4, but E! picked up the show and production continues; the new format basically rips off Wife Swap, which keeps the two fighting socialites away from one another.
The show has a tendency to not trust its stars and to lie to viewers by just staging most of the alleged comedy, but one of the star’s antics recently “irritated a local family.” According to the AP, Nicole Richie was in LA’s Castaic neighborhood when she encountered an 11-year-old: “The boy was playing basketball Wednesday in the driveway of his home. Richie, pushing a baby carriage, approached and questioned the youth about how she looked, using a profane word. Two camera operators and another crew taped the exchange.”
The kid’s “father refused the crew’s request that he sign a release giving them the right to use the clip with his son. Instead he complained to the show’s production company,” the AP reports, but does not give the word she used. Defamer suggests is might have been “something often referred to by the acronym ‘M.I.L.F.’”
Update: That is what she said, according to a report by the KP, whatever that is. She asked if she was a MILF, and the kid said, “I don’t know what that means.” Nicole allegedly replied, “It means a ‘mother I’d like to fuck.’”
