Not that it was in doubt, but The Simple Life 2 has officially been picked up by FOX, and the format, as reported earlier, is a cross-country road trip they’ll take in a camper. FOX reality puppetmaster Mike Darnell tells Variety, “Maybe Paris will visit a Wal-Mart. I’m kind of hoping they stop at a Hilton.” Jon Murray tells the Daily News that it will be like “Lucy and Ricky in long trailers or Chevy Chase in ‘Vacation.’” Bunim-Murray is currently casting for families in Grand Canyon Village, AZ; Brooksville, FL; and Lafayette, LA. Filming will begin within two months, and the show will debut in May.
