Lionel Richie is going to perform on Canadian Idol 2 on Wednesday, as the remaining contestants perform songs by him. On that occasion, he has happy words for them: “I wish all of them could lose because then they don’t have to be famous now.” He tells the CP that they can delay their stardom: “They can be famous a little later with the experience. I think there’s more pressure on the winner because they have to be famous now.” Also, he has some pretty bitchy words about his daughter, The Simple Life star Nicole: “I’ve been living in Nicole’s reality ever since she was born.” He doesn’t like the show she stars on with Paris Hilton: “The entire show makes me cringe. It’s too much information for a parent. It’s just torture. It’s just painful. She’s turning me into my dad and I don’t appreciate that.”
