Now Rocco’s meatballs are being manhandled by financer Jeffrey Chodorow. At the location of The Restaurant, Chodorow, who’s fighting Rocco for control of the place, has invited guest chefs who make their own meatballs. He says, “We want people to try both meatballs and see which they like better. Every one of the guest chefs is going to make meatballs. I’ll let people judge for themselves.” A Page Six source said this pissed off Mama, who said to the new meatball maker, “I make the meatballs and you make the lasagna!” The source says “Mama was not happy that someone else was making meatballs in her kitchen. Then, once he started making them, she kept telling him that he wasn’t doing it right.” Chodorow also says he might change the name of Rocco’s on 22nd Street.
