The crappy food and awful service was a source of drama on The Restaurant, and now they’re the source of a lawsuit against Rocco. His business partners, including Jeffrey Chodorow, claim Rocco “has spent insufficient time on the food and service at the restaurant and has not devoted the time and effort needed to operate the restaurant in a financially responsible manner.” The Daily News reports that Chodorow’s company “poured $3 million into Rocco’s 22nd St.,” and wants to “oust DiSpirito from his namesake joint.” In a statement reproduced by the New York Times, Rocco says that actually, it was his idea to sue first: “I have refrained for months from suing Jeffrey Chodorow. … I look forward to having him held accountable for his actions.” The Times also reports that production on the second season has been completed, and it will air later this spring.
