Restaurant ends Sunday; Gideon’s real arm-break scene was staged for cameras.
In a piece where producer Mark Burnett says people are “idiots” if they think scenes from The Restaurant are staged, Newsday reports that the scene where Gideon fell and broke his arm was “real, but staged and shot later, because cameras were not on hand.” Burnett says the show, which concludes Sunday, “was unscripted. Every story line was organic and raw.” This news follows an accusation from a New York restaurateur that another scene in the show was staged.
