In the US, Richard Branson’s FOX series The Rebel Billionaire isn’t quite reaching epic heights; it’s getting roughly the same ratings as The Benefactor did. Worse, since its debut, it “has declined nearly 20 percent in average audience” through last week’s episode, Reuters reports. It places fifth in its time slot and is the 91st among all shows. FOX won’t bail on the series, though: a FOX spokesman says, “It’s going to remain on the air. Creatively, we’re extremely pleased with the show. And we hope the audience will find it.” Other people who are pleased with the show are Australians. It debuted there “Monday night, and although hardly a mega hit with 748,000 viewers, the first showing topped both The Apprentice’s debut in Australia on Nine (701,000) and the current number of 670,000,” the Sydney Morning Herald reports. Plus, Virgin Australia’s PR director says, “I think we’ll do an Australian one. Australians are well up for it.”
