Real World San Diego house searched; woman says she was sexually assaulted.
The Real World San Diego house was searched by police as the result of “a 22-year-old woman’s allegations that she was raped in the oceanfront home,” the AP reports. Neither the 22-year-old woman nor the accused attacker are cast members; she says that she had a drink offered by the friend of a cast member and then blacked out. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune’s report, “In the affidavit, the woman said that when she regained consciousness, she was being filmed by a camera crew. She also told police she believed the rape may have been videotaped.” Cast member Jamie Chung found the woman and “was told a man, who is not a cast member and was identified only as ‘Justin,’ was seen leaving the bathroom and saying, ‘I just hit that,’ apparently referring to the woman on the floor,” the Union-Tribune reports. Apparently some cast members were in Mexico at the time, which was around Nov. 14 or 15. Police “[took] more than two dozen items from it, including computers, sheets and bedding, guest logs and videotapes.” In a statement, Bunim-Murray says both the production company “and the cast are cooperating fully with local authorities investigating an incident that may have occurred at ‘The Real World’ house. None of the cast or crew members had any involvement in this incident.”
