Get to know The Real World Philadelphia a bit more tonight as MTV airs a hour-long preview special at 10 p.m. ET. It’s titled “Out of My Way, I’m Moving In: Tips For Getting Into The Real World.” Meanwhile, group of under-35 activists is credited with helping to bring The Real World back to Philadelphia after producers threatened to leave. In its profile of Young Involved Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Inquirer says that the group “played a key role in coaxing a miffed MTV to stick with its plan to film the reality show” in the city. A Bunim-Murray executive agrees, and praises the group: COO Joey Carson said YIP “is a great example of the power that regular people have to create positive change if they put their minds to it. They were able to quickly organize themselves to send a unified message that was heard loud and clear by the right people at the right time.”
