Paris Real World cast search went to Montana; Road Rules RV on eBay.
Coinciding nicely with the some people’s newfound hatred of France (would you like some freedom fries with your ridiculousness?), The Real World is taping in Paris this spring. To cast the show, producer Jonathan Murray said they traveled to Montana to find new faces. Why? “We’ve always been cautious about casting people who have the goal of using this as a steppingstone to get into the broader entertainment world,” he told The Baltimore Sun (last few paragraphs). He continued: “The main thing you want to guard against is someone giving you a performance.” Yeah, because we’ve never seen a performance from a Hollywood-hungry media whore any season of The Real World. Never. In other news, Bunim-Murray is auctioning off the RV used in the Road Rules Campus Crawl season. The eBay auction, which ends on March 22, has a reserve price set for the Fleetwood RV, which has “only 10,000 miles” on it. No word about where the money goes.
+ also: Bunim-Murray is casting for its new women-centered NBC daytime reality series Starting Over.
+ update: According to a Bunim-Murray representative, proceeds go to Fleetwood, which donated the RV for the show.
