Real World may be returning to New Orleans 10 years after its first season there

MTV’s The Real World is likely heading back to a city that hosted it 10 years ago: New Orleans. The show’s ninth season was filmed there and was broadcast in 2000, and based on job listings, it looks like it will be returning.

The 10th anniversary seems to be an excellent excuse to return to the city, and could help distract from the obvious criticism that the show has run out of cities, having filmed in New York three times. Conveniently, they’d be filming during Mardi Gras.

Vevmo’s Bacchus found job listings for PAs needed from December through May, and those job listings are identical to ones production company Bunim-Murray posted in Washington before filming the 23rd season. The ad says the nameless company is “shooting a documentary style show in New Orleans.”

There’s also ajob listing for PAs and assistant camera crew members on the New Orleans Office of Film and Video’s web site; they need people from now until May.
