The Real World New Orleans’ Danny’s boyfriend Paul was a captain in the Army, and after 12 years left the military in Feb., Danny writes in an essay for New York Metro. He says that living in Wilmington to be with Paul “felt like…Nazi Germany,” and says “‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ turns into ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t live.’” Danny also says he applied for the show, which he calls “a cheesy little reality-TV show,” “as an escape from a shitty job … an office bitch at an insurance company in Atlanta.”
