Speaking to a Cornell University audience last Friday, The Real World New Orleans cast member Melissa Howard charged that participants on her season of the show—specifically Elton, the group’s boss at the TV station—were actors. “How the producers sleep at night, I do not know,” she said, according to The Cornell Daily Sun. Discussing the ways that she and others “[filled] predetermined roles,” she also said that she “would not do it again. It was not a positive experience and was definitely not worth all the personal emotion and pain.”
