ArchivesJust under nine months ago, MTV basically denied my report that The Real World was heading to Key West. Tonight, The Real World Key West. Somehow, “I told you so, secretive bastards” just doesn’t seem to cover it.
The show debuts at 10 p.m. ET with an hour-long premiere. Next week, the show will be followed by the debut of 8th & Ocean. During production, the show faced three hurricanes and an irate neighbor, but that didn’t stop them from opening a tanning salon.
As to the cast, Tyler tells the Boston Herald that this season “isn’t Austin.’… We had a lot of politically charged discussions. We’re a very intelligent group. It’s not just boozing and sex this season.” And there go the ratings.
