ArchivesAs reality blurred first revealed nearly two months ago, the next Real World will be filmed in Key West. This will be the second time the series has been shot in Florida.
The actual house will be on Key Haven, slightly north of Key West and outside the city limits. According to The Key West Citizen “the cast will work and play in Key West.” And the paper confirms what I first reported, that “the Pineapple Gallery on Duval Street was in the running to be the production site.” Producers instead chose a location in Key Haven, “the upscale enclave a couple miles north of Key West.”
Production will begin soon, “during the final months of hurricane season when the islands are much less frequented by tourists,” the paper reports. But if a hurricane does come, the cast “will uproot their world and leave real fast, with camera crews capturing the chaos every step of the way.”
