The Real World Chicago’s producer “hints strongly” that the protests that haunted the production over the summer will be completely ignored on the air, telling The Chicago Sun-Times that “it didn’t really affect the cast and it didn’t affect the production.” Uh, right. The newspaper also reports that there was so much going on this season, taping was stopped two weeks early, and yet there still may be material for more than the standard 26 episodes. The season starts with a “preview” episode—not a casting special—next Tuesday.

+ also: rwrrweb.com reports that MTV did not pick up the casting special from Bunim-Murray this time, hence the reason the cast’s identities were released so early. The site also located cast member Chris Beckman’s new web site, which features a gallery of his art—and space for advertisers to buy ads.
