The Real World Seattle’s Stephen, a.k.a. Steven Anthony Williams, was arrested Tuesday for a felony: “tak[ing a] vehicle w/o owner’s consent,” or joyriding. The Smoking Gun reports that cops then “discovered he was wanted for failing to make court appearances related to a January 2001 arrest on two misdemeanor counts.” Those were for “hustling in Hollywood” and “loitering in a public place ‘with the intent to commit prostitution,’” according to the site’s report and court records. His bail was set at $31,299 and he’s being held at the men’s central jail in L.A.
In other Stephen news, John of Johnny A Go Go recently revealed gossip about Stephen that he heard from a friend of Irene’s. According to her, “Stephen was picked for the house because he was openly gay, black and Jewish during his audition process. … However, after he got into the house, Stephen refused to play gay for the camera.” Irene complained to the show’s producers because she thought it “wasn’t very ‘real world’ to willingly hide Stephen’s orientation.” The producers “threatened to make her look crazy if she tried to leave or reveal Stephen’s secret,” which she did shortly before Stephen slapped her upside the head on camera. Just Irene’s bitterness or the truth about the situation?
