Bravo renames an already-shot series The Real Housewives of Miami

In March, Bravo announced it was developing a new series called Miami Social Club, had nothing to do with its previous series Miami Social. Instead, it “follows Miami’s social elite — a glamorous circle where money, hard work, status and beauty rule.” That show has been shot, but is now going to become The Real Housewives of Miami.

Bravo “decided to make it a part of the Housewives franchise” after or during production, which is already complete. That’s according to a source cited by an E! News report, which says that “because this was supposed to be a stand-alone series about the Miami social scene and not another Housewives incarnation, we’ll be getting less table flipping and extension pulling and a little more class.”

The new series is expected to air this winter, probably after The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills air this fall.
