Danielle Staub flirts with lesbianism
Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Danielle Staub has found a new way to get attention (other than her sex tape and the whole prostitution whore thing): flirting with being gay. “I’ve been a part of the gay community for 30 years,” she said in an interview with Fox News. But as to whether or not she herself is a lesbian, she said, “I’m not ready to say that one way or the other. Right now my focus is on my kids, but there is room for one more person in my world. Hopefully soon the world will see that.”
All of this began with her appearance Monday on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live (Gawker has the video clips) and performed her new duet single with Lori Michaels, and when Andy Cohen asked if they were a couple, Danielle said, while basically sitting on Lori’s lap, “We’re not saying anything except we’re together doing this song.”
In her Fox News interview, Danielle talked about her work for gay rights, not her own experiences with same-sex romantic or physical interaction: “I haven’t even begun my work in the gay community yet. I want to go to Senate, I want to pass a bill and get gay marriage legalized. I go to events, I march in rallies,” she said.
That’s nice, but that’s not what it means when someone says they’re a member of the gay community. But now she has another item for that list: “using sexual orientation to get more attention.”
