RHONJ cast, crew banned from country club that hosted “staged” fight
The venue that hosted The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s big season two fight, between Teresa Guidice and a shrieking Danielle Staub with a weave-pulling assist by Ashley Holmes, has apologized to its members and called the entire thing “staged.”
The letter [PDF], which was published by Radar, says, “We are all embarrassed with the staged behavior of these cast members at our Club. … We clearly made a mistake signing the release” because it “took away our ability to have any legal recourse.”
John Stanley, the general manager of the North Jersey Country Club, also writes that people involved in the fashion show “were all misled” because Bravo asked to film it “two days before the event,” and says up front that “It is safe to say that the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ cast and crew members are not welcome at the North Jersey Country Club and I assure you that nothing like this will ever occur again at this Club.”
The season ends tonight with a promised showdown between Danielle and Tony Soprano—I mean, Caroline Manzo—that looks more like a lunch arranged by producers so they can shout at each other and give the season a finale. And of course, it will be followed by a reunion during which Andy Cohen shrieks “I want to go home!” 51 times.
