final Osbournes season debuts tonight.
A year ago, they were a cultural phenomenon. Today, The Osbournes return to MTV for their third and final season at 10 p.m. ET, and the magic has evidently warn off. The New York Post’s Linda Stasi calls says that “after a brilliant first season, it’s all become very, very tired,” and says they seem just as fake as Anna Nicole. The New York Daily News’ David Hinckley says “even some hard-core fans…may quietly find it less imperative to tune in.” Newsday’s Diane Werts agrees, writing, “things sound funnier than they play.”
