columnist: The Osbournes rip-offs “should not be expected to do well.”
The Osbournes has been renewed for a second season, but before it airs we’re probably going to see a bunch of copy-cat shows, like Anna Nicole Smith’s E! series debuting this August. The New York Daily News’ David Bianculli says The Osbournes “was a delight because it was so unexpected,” and writes that “other wanna-be reality-TV subjects … should not be expected to do well at all.”
