In Rolling Stone’s cover story on The Osbournes, it’s revealed that the show “was going to be semifictional,” but then Jack pitched the idea of “The Real World but with us.” After the Cribs episode with the family aired, Sharon went to MTV with Jack’s idea. Also, Ozzy says, without elaborating, “sometimes I look at this TV show and I feel sad.”
