On the finale of The Mole 2, Dorothy won $636,000, and Bill was unveiled as the mole. Heather, who was the runner-up, got one more question wrong than Dorothy did, which cost her the game—as did her coalition with Dorothy, because Heather revealed to her that she suspected Bill. Also revealed were the clues hidden in each episode, which ranged from digitally-inserted stars showing Bill’s astrological sign to messages in the credits to the string of numbers on the telegram that spelled out “the mole is Bill.” Also, ABC is “definitely considering” The Mole 3, Variety reports. The second season has been “ABC’s highest-rated program of the summer with young viewers,” and ABC’s alternative programming chief says, “It’s performed well for us this summer against strong competition. And it’s an even better show than it was before.”
