Having realized what was going on, Ingrid Wiese was told the truth about the true nature of Joe Schmo 2. Instead of kicking her off the series, though, producers decided to let her stay on as a quasi-actress. She says she stuck around because “there was also a part of me that was curious and wanted to see what was going to happen.” A new, completely ignorant cast member, Amanda, was brought in to take her place as Jane Schmo. As the show’s producer Rhett Reese tells Zap2it.com, “Amanda was told this is a reality show and she was a twist, that simple.”
