The Joe Schmo Show 2

producer: Joe Schmo 3 won’t happen.

Fans of Spike TV’s The Joe Schmo Show will have to be content with the repeats of the first two seasons, the first season DVD, and a second season DVD, if it’s released, as the show won’t be returning for a third season. In his final post on the official show blog last week, producer Rhett Reese wrote, “The bad news, at least for us: ‘Joe Schmo’ has probably run its course.” He says he’ll be continuing to produce TV for Spike, including an upcoming yet-to-be-revealed series. He also offers some advice: “The best I can do to ensure everyone that there will be more shows like ‘Joe’ is to remind people to view television intelligently.” The format of Spike’s fake reality series will live on in shows such as New Zealand’s new Living the Dream, which, from this story’s description, sounds identical to Joe Schmo. The original Spike series is also currently airing in Australia on Nine.
