Lauren Conrad gets a new MTV show

Former The Hills star Lauren Conrad is returning to MTV with her own unscripted series.

The show will be “a documentary-style reality series for MTV following the budding fashion designer as she creates a line of evening wear and builds a fashion house — from the ground up,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The paper notes that this follows “the Lauren Conrad collection that debuted at L.A. Fashion Week in March 2008 and launched line of casual wear with Kohl’s department stores in 2009,” although in 2009, she went on a fashion-creation hiatus, blaming the economy.
