Lauren Conrad tires of The Hills, reunites with Heidi, wants to lecture to college students
Lauren Conrad is getting tired of having her life taped for The Hills, perhaps because she just reconciled with Heidi Montag, but wants to start touring college campuses to lecture to students about domestic violence.
“It’s coming to a point where I love this show so much, but I’m ready to kind of walk away. I’ve been doing it for five years now. Five years on TV is a really, really long time,” she told Extra. Of course, she said something similar this past summer in a revealing Entertainment Weekly profile, when she said, “Every season, I think it’s the last. Right now, I think this is the last season. I go through phases when I’ve been filming where I wake up in the middle of the night and I think I’m being filmed. That’s when I have to take a vacation.”
Whether or not she leaves the show, Lauren is planning on touring college campuses to lecture, joining The Real World cast members who discuss subjects like celebrity penises and marijuana, not important subjects they have no business discussing anyway.
E! News reports that she “is considering touring campuses to talk to coeds about dating abuse and violence as part of her work with Mark Cosmetics’ M-Powerment campaign for young women.”
Lauren said, “I think it would be very beneficial, and I want to help people. … I’ve known people in really difficult situations, and as a friend, you never really know how to approach that person. I was looking to get involved with a cause that really affected young women, and this affected me.”
