The Hills renewed for a fifth season
If you can’t live without living vicariously through The Hills cast members, never fear: MTV has ordered a fifth season of the increasingly scripted and fake reality series.
“There is going to be a fifth season. We just found out,” Audrina Patridge told People. “We have fun with each other and we’ve stuck it out this long, so we might as well do another one.”
She said that wasn’t necessarily a done deal because both she and other cast members wanted to move on to other projects instead of continuing to use their lives as a template for producers’ storylines. “At one point, all of us were like, ‘No, we don’t want to do another season.’ I wanted to do more movies, and Whitney moved to New York and she’s doing her own spin-off. And Lauren’s dating [My Boys actor] Kyle [Howard] but he can’t be on the show because he’s on another show, so that makes it hard,” she said.
The 15th episode of the (currently) 19-episode fourth season airs tonight.
