ArchivesMTV has officially picked up The Hills for a fourth season. The show ends the second part of its third season on Monday, and there will only be three months of withdrawal to withstand, as the fourth season will debut in August.
All four main cast members of the extremely popular quasi-reality series—Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, Whitney Port, and Audrina Patridge—will return. People reports that they “are all returning to MTV in August to kick off a 19-episode, fourth season.”
An anonymous “insider” told Us Weekly, “They just started shooting. The fourth season will be about what they ended up doing this summer. Lauren and Whitney will still be working at People’s Revolution.”
People notes that Monday’s third-season finale will be preceded by a pre-show that “will feature the cast answering questions live from the red carpet and a chance for the audience to catch up on the most recent drama with a mini-marathon of the last three episodes of the season.”
