The Hills

The Hills was the highest-rated 18-49, 18-34 show on cable last week

Last week’s episode of The Hills hit a high in terms of overall viewers and was the highest-rated cable show of the week in key demographic groups.

The August 27 episode “scored a third-season-high 4.2 million viewers” and was “basic cable’s top show of the week with both 18-to-49-year-olds (3.1 million) and 18-to-34-year-olds (2.7 million viewers),” USA TODAY reports. That follows strong ratings for its debut, when it beat all other channels among viewers ages 12 to 34.

Last week, Lauren and company came in fifth place overall among cable shows, tying WWE Raw, which also airs on Monday nights. Typically, the top 10 or even 20 basic cable ratings don’t include reality series, which draw fewer viewers than wrestling, sporting events, Disney channel series, and re-runs of broadcast network shows.
