ArchivesThe second season of The Contender, which will air on ESPN, is now looking for boxers who want to fight inside the confines of the reality series.
Starting one week from Friday, the show will audition boxers in five cities; applications are also being accepted via mail. While the application asks for weight and fight weight, there is no restriction, presumably making it possible for the show to select a group of boxers in any number of weight classes. However, only “professional boxers” may apply—although the site notes that “managers & trainers [are] welcome.”
The show will tape over seven weeks in January and February.
