Celebrity Apprentice filming, revealing the full cast

The cast of The Celebrity Apprentice started filming earlier this week, and yesterday, the cast hit the streets of New York to sell sandwiches and reveal who they are.

The cast consists of American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken; IndyCar driver Marco Andretti; alleged comedian Adam Carolla; actor Tia Carrere; Incredible Hulk Lou Ferrigno; Debbie Gibson; Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice; Growing Up Gotti’s Victoria Gotti; Arsenio Hall; Penn Jillette; insult comedian Lisa Lampanelli; Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza; Making the Band’s Aubrey O’Day; American Choppers’ Paul Teutal, senior; model Cheryl Tiegs; Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider; Star Trek’s George Takei; model Patricia Velasquez.

Once again, it’s a cast heavy with reality TV stars or celebrities who’ve already appeared on reality shows. But as I’ve mentioned before, the casting here is usually pitch-perfect, even when it doesn’t seem like it on paper. The cast started leaking out ever since Clay Aiken rescheduled a charity event in early September; other cast members were identified last week.

As to the task on Monday, which involved selling sandwiches during lunchtime, Entertainment Weekly has a report from the women’s team, including scans of the their menu, which included a $100 Teresa Guidice’s Hot-Blooded Housewife Hoagie.

Penn Jillette stopped tweeting on Sunday afternoon, suggesting filming began that evening or Monday, and since the first task usually involves selling something in the streets, this is likely the first challenge. Other celebrities, including Lisa Lampanelli, Adam Carolla, and Aubrey O’Day are still active on Twitter, however.
