Trump: “I never make a decision based on entertainment value”

Donald Trump insists he’s never fired a contestant on The Apprentice in order to keep someone who’s more entertaining. Seriously.

“I make my own decisions,” he told msnbc.com. “I never make a decision based on entertainment value. If it’s going to hurt my credibility, I won’t do it. Once I lose that credibility, the show no longer works.”

I wouldn’t quite say the show no longer works, but he’s certainly lost that credibility, not that he ever had the self-awareness to realize that.
