11 million watch Celebrity Apprentice, which was the top-rated 18-49 show of the night
The debut of The Apprentice 7 was watched by 11 million people, and was the highest-rated show among viewers ages 18 to 49 for the entire evening.
That’s a significant improvement over the 9.1 million viewers who watched last season’s first episode. The show also “improved significantly on the show’s numbers for the two previous cycles on Monday and Sunday,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. NBC notes in a press release that the show was “up 36% in total viewers and improved the time period by 67% versus the same night last year.”
In that press release, Donald Trump said, “I am extremely pleased with the ratings and congratulate the current executives at NBC for not only picking the right time slot, Thursday nights at 9 p.m., but for also allowing the show to have a proper interval before putting it back on. I believe that the ratings for the show will get even higher from here on and that is absolutely terrific.”
