Mark Burnett will follow reopening of Las Vegas’ Golden Nugget for Casino.
Mark Burnett is heading to Las Vegas to film his next series, The Casino, which was initially rumored to be replacing The Restaurant. FOX’s The Casino “will follow the day-to-day doings of Thomas Breitling and Timothy Poster, two young entrepreneurs who became multimillionaires after selling their Web startup Travelscape to Expedia in 2000 and decided to sink their winnings into buying and renovating” the Golden Nugget, a famous and historic downtown casino. “[T]he casino’s 3,000 pit bosses, cocktail waitresses, entertainers, security guards and other employees” will also be featured in the show. 13 episodes of the show will start airing on FOX next summer. E! Online also reports that Burnett’s show The Apprentice, which follows 20 people competing to run one of Donald Trump’s businesses, will debut Jan. 8.
