ArchivesWhen The Biggest Loser 4 goes into production this spring, it will have a new host. Caroline Rhea, the host for the show’s first three seasons, has been replaced by Alison Sweeney, best known for her role on Days of Our Lives.
NBC gave Variety the typical corporate bullshit line that Caroline Rhea left “to pursue other interests,” which means she was fired. But the show’s executive producer was a bit more candid, basically saying the host change is at least in part about increasing ratings. Sweeney “will bring not only a great fresh face but (also) a huge, loyal fan base,” Ben Silverman said.
As Variety reports, Sweeney “has also been public about her own past weight woes, writing about her battle vs. the bulge in her 2004 autobiography,” All The Days Of My Life (So Far).
