Jillian and Kim will both return for The Biggest Loser 4, as Jillian trains a “secret team”

After being mysteriously replaced last season, Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels announced that she would return for the fourth season. The fate of her replacement, Kim Lyons, was unclear until now, when NBC announced this season’s twist: Jillian “will train the secret black team of contestants who failed to be chosen for the blue or red teams.”

NBC calls this “the triumphant return of former trainer Jillian Michaels,” and says that Bob Harper and Kim Lyons do not know about the twist, but also expresses faux skepticism in Jillian’s abilities: “Can Jillian effectively bring her team from the desert to the gym and will her team prove that they deserve a place at the Biggest Loser campus?”

The 18 contestants who will participate this season are include twin brothers and a survivor of Hurricane Katrina, plus “the oldest contestant in Biggest Loser history,” who is 62.
