San Diegans finally audition for The Biggest Loser 3 after week-long wait
One week and one day after the San Diego auditions were cancelled, producers from The Biggest Loser returned to audition people for the show’s third season. Saturday, about 800 people showed up at a new venue to audition, about half of the number who came the week before.
There was some conselation for those who had to go home last week, as “[a]bout 40 weight-loss hopefuls who complained about the cancellation were guaranteed interviews yesterday,” the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. “Others had to stake out a place in a long line and take their chances,” but Saturday, “nearly everyone who arrived received a coveted paper bracelet, the ticket to the first round of interviews for the show’s next season.”
The first person in line, Janna Stein, is apparently not aware that there are other ways to lose weight besides a television show, so she got in line at 4 p.m. Friday. “After they canceled the first one, I knew this time would be my chance. This is my chance to let the skinny person inside me come out.”
