Tuesday’s finale of The Biggest Loser 2 was the most-watched episode of the series yet. 15.9 million viewers tuned in, which is an increase of 12 percent from the first-season finale that aired earlier this year.
That was also NBC’s highest-rated series “in the time period since November 2001,” excluding the Olympics and sporting events, Variety reports.
Media Life Magazine notes that the show’s “6.7 average [among those 18 to 49] was an 86 percent increase over the 3.6 overnight rating the show had averaged through its first 11 episodes this season.” NBC easily beat ABC and CBS.
