Bachelorette’s Jillian and Ed break up, leaving two Bachelor couples after 19 seasons

The Bachelorette 5 couple Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski have broken up, leaving just two couples from the entire 19-season Bachelor franchise.

They took/sold their break-up story to Us Weekly, and Jillian said, “I love him and I’m really sad, but I have to look out for me.” Ed said, “We’re both kind of resetting. Jillian isn’t happy and I’m definitely sad about the whole thing, but we got to work through some things on our own if we decide to move forward.”

Ed sounds like they could get back together, and the magazine does say they “have called off their engagement” only, but also starts its story with “it’s over” and the cover line calls it a “bitter split.”

Last August, when there were rumors Ed was cheating, he said on Good Morning America that they were “one of the very few successful couples on the show.”
