The Bachelorette 4

More people watched Bachelorette reunion than the actual finale

The Bachelorette 4’s finale last night, during which DeAnna Pappas accepted Jesse’ marriage proposal, was watched by an average of 9.5 million viewers. Just under two million smart people only tuned in for the last half-hour, which was watched by 11.2 million people.

Strangely, the After the Final Rose special at 10, which pre-empted The Mole and which I skipped, was watched by a greater number of viewers on average: 10 million tuned in. That made it “the night’s top-rated program,” according to Variety.

Still, all of that’s down from the average of 15 million who watched the third Bachelorette’s finale, although that was five years ago.
