The woman who was chosen by Andrew Firestone on The Bachelor 3 will head up her own season of the series. Jen Schefft is going to be the star of The Bachelorette 3, which tapes this fall and will air next January. Meanwhile, a gold medal-winning Olympic athlete is being considered to front The Bachelor 6. Steven Lopez earned a gold medal in taekwondo during the 2000 Olympics, and now “ABC [is] reportedly considering the 25-year-old for a spot on The Bachelor.” He and his family are “cautiously mulling over the idea, said Lopez’s coach and older brother, Jean Lopez,” The Houston Chronicle reports. However, he’s currently heading to Athens, and being on a dating show where he’ll meet someone only to break up with her months later isn’t at the top of his list right now: “I haven’t really given it a second thought just because I’m training for the Olympics, and I think that is just a tad bit more important than anything else at this moment,” he says.
