ArchivesIn its continued search for ratings and an interesting reality show, ABC is taking its Bachelor overseas. Specifically, The Bachelor 8 will film in Paris, and I will resist the urge to make a Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes joke.
Why go to Paris? Because, as an ABC press release says, the city “offers numerous seductive possibilities with vast scenic panoramas, intimate bistros and mysteries lurking around every corner and side street.”
And maybe, if we’re lucky, an actual lasting relationship.
ABC has yet to cast the man who will hunt for affection in Paris, and says it’s looking for “a handsome, ambitious, charming, successful guy who is looking to settle down” and “is an accomplished CEO, doctor, lawyer, entrepreneur or business man and wants to find love.” And if you want to be one of the 25 women who beg for affection and/or camera time, ABC is also accepting applications. They’re due August 27.
