The Bachelor number five and second-string quarterback for the Giants Jesse Palmer says he decided to participate in the ABC series because he could be anonymous. He tells TV Guide, “When this opportunity came up, I thought it was great because the women didn’t know who I was or what I did for a living, which put us all on an even playing field. In the past, it became obvious that (some women) were more interested in saying to people, ‘Hey, I’m dating a professional athlete.’” A Giants spokesperson said that Jesse “should be careful not to do anything that will reflect poorly on the Giants because then we would have a problem.” Like, whore yourself on a reality TV show, maybe?
